Carpenter

Job Description

Our client, a leading construction company in Holland, is currently seeking a skilled carpenter to join their team. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the structure
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
• Cut, shape, and join materials using hand and power tools
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
• Finish surfaces by sanding, staining, and painting
• Inspect and repair damaged structures and fixtures
• Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a carpenter
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Good math skills and attention to detail
• Physically fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
